Laurie Hoopes bred, raised and trained the 1996 AQHA mare Luxury Lark, who placed 3rd out of 86 entries in Junior Trail at the 2000 All American Quarter Horse Congress, 6th in Amateur Trail at the 2002 All American Quarter Horse Congress and Top 6 in Senior Trail at the 2003 All American Quarter Horse Congress.

Laurie earned Circuit Championships in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 during the Western Pennsylvania Quarter Horse Association Summer Circuit. She earned Circuit Champion at the East Coast Championship Show in Lexington, Virginia. She also earned AQHA Superior Trail Horse Certificate with Luxury Lark and earned Register of Merit and Superior Trail Certificate with Awsome Pullup Ur Sox. Laurie owns and trained the 2006 WPQHA Reserve All Around Horse and the 2007 Champion All Around Horse.

Laurie performed a Trail Demonstration on Luxury Lark at the 2001 All American Quarter Horse Congress with trainer Nancy Cahill and Course Designer Tim Kimura.

She qualified and competed at 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 AQHA World Championship Shows, finishing in the top 15 and was named Western Pennsylvania Quarter Horse Association Most Valuable Member.
